What a thrill and a privilege to be able to be to spend the whole day with forty passionate Early Years educators and teachers.
“It was amazing, this has been the best day.”
Heartening to see that the session was over subscribed and a positive sign that so many practitioners want to learn and find out more about how to promote positive psychological wellbeing not only for their children but also for their colleagues and for themselves.
We had a fun filled day with lots of time to practice mindfulness and to explore how we could embed it into our daily practice and lives. Feedback was overwhelming positive.

So that we can continue to develop and share best practice we will be working with Cambridgeshire LA Early Years team to set up a collaborative mindfulness project that will culminate in the development of an online Mindfulness training programme that all Early Years professionals can access.
A snapshot of the day:
We are all consumed with the busyness of life and often forget to stop and take notice of what’s around us. An important part of mindfulness is an awareness of our thoughts and feelings as they happen moment to moment. Reminding yourself to take notice of your thoughts, feelings, body sensations and the world around you is the first step to mindfulness.
– Remember it’s about being a human being not human doing
– Find space to be mindful
– Check in on yourself
– Turn frustration of queuing into a stop slow down mindful moment
– The way in, is the way out . We are our best resource – we don’t have to go along with the storyline
– Try using a mindful APP ie Headspace, Stop,Breathe & Think
